Acupuncture and Neuropathic Pain: Relieving Pain by Engendering Health

With Jonathon Gilbert

- Monday, June 13, 7:30 - 8:30pm

Peripheral Neuropathy is an all too common experience for many people living with cancer. It can be a result of the side effect of treatment or from the cancer itself. The most troubling symptom of Peripheral Neuropathy is widely considered to be Neuropathic Pain (NP). There are few effective and well tolerated treatments available, leaving many with another unwanted challenge to live with. Because of this situation Acupuncture has been attracting attention as a possible treatment of NP. Initial studies are promising indicating that this ancient Chinese treatment may well be of value in our modern healthcare setting.

Our programs are open to the community, and tailored to meet the needs of people affected by cancer. Classes and workshops are free or low cost on a pay-as-you-can basis, ensuring that our programs are accessible to everyone.
