Morning Therapeutic Yoga classes are open to anyone interested in attending. They are specifically designed for adults in treatment or recoveding from cancer or other illness. Participants will learn various techniques to help reduce stress and balance mind, body and spirit. Each class is formatted to include gentle postures (asanas), progressive relaxation, breathing practices, and an introduction to meditation. Enjoy a greater sense of wellbeing and enhanced energy. All levels welcome.
About the Instructor:
Corrin Bennett, MS, E-RYT 500, IYTA, has been an active practitioner and educator in mind/body wellness since 1971. She holds an M.S. degree in dance/movement psychotherapy and has over 25 years of experience and training in yoga and meditation. As a certified Integral Yoga teacher focusing on the therapeutic benefits of yoga, Corrin’s gentle and supportive approach guides participants in accessing their inner experience of wholeness and healing. She has presented mind/body wellness seminars throughout the U.S. and Europe for various organizations including the American Cancer Society, Kaiser Permanente, the Women’s Physicians Summit of the American Medical Association, Saarbrucken University, and the German/American Institute. In addition to her work at Smith Center, Corrin maintains a private practice specializing in therapeutic stress management, life affirming coaching, and yoga therapy to support others on their life journey.
