with Dr. Charles Gant, MD, PhD
- Saturday, April 23, 1:00 - 3:00 PM
A mood disorder like depression or anxiety cannot exist without definitive and reversible causal physiological conditions which are unique to the individual. Dr. Gant will discuss some of the definitive and reversible physiological conditions that cause Depression, Anxiety and other Common Serious Health Challenges. He will explain why designing a rational treatment plan which addresses the root causes of each patient’s medical and psychiatric disorders requires a personalized, fully integrative approach to healthcare. This begins with careful and extensive laboratory, diagnostic testing to determine their precise nutritional, metabolic, immune, allergic, endocrine (hormones), neurotransmitter, infectious, toxicity, and genetic status. This is the promise of what is now called "Precision Medicine".
President Obama said it best as he launched the Precision Medicine Initiative in his 2015 State of the Union Address:
“So tonight, I’m launching a new Precision Medicine Initiative to bring us
closer to curing diseases like cancer and diabetes, and to give all of us
access to the personalized information we need to keep ourselves and
our families healthier. We can do this.”
Dr. Gant has his clinical practice at 2 locations in Washington, DC: International Precision Medicine Associates and National Integrated Health Associates. He is the Director of Education and Training for the International Academy of Precision Medicine, a non-profit dedicated to the widespread education and availability of Precision Medicine to alleviate medical, psychiatric, and brain disorders, including how they relate to geopolitical violence.
