with Project Knitwell & Carol Regan

- Saturday, November 5th, 12:30-4:30

Knitting & Yoga

Join us as Project Knitwell and Carol Regan co-host two special Saturday workshops this Fall to foster wellness, comfort, and community.

At both workshops, we will begin with a potluck lunch, have a group Knitalong session to work on knitting projects, and we will complete the afternoon with a 1-hour special Awareness through Movement® workshop.

Two complete shawl patterns kits will be available for a $25 purchase. Participants can select from a beginners' triangle shawl, or a more complex shawl design for advanced knitters, and kits will include all yarn and materials necessary to complete each project. You may also bring your own project to work on during our Knitalong. Trained instructors from Project Knitwell will be on hand to help new knitters and to assist experienced knitters.

Carol Regan will end each workshop with one hour Awareness through Movement® session that is suited for every body. Also known as The Feldenkrais Method, this is a mind-body approach to fitness and health that is rapidly gaining recognition among people who simply want to learn to move better and feel more comfortable in their bodies.

Fall 2016 Workshop Dates:

  • November 5, 12:30-4:30
  • December 17, 12:30-4:30

*It is not necessary to attend both workshops. Please RSVP below or contact us at 202.483.8600 to help us plan.

About Carol Regan

Carol discovered the Feldenkrais Method over seven years ago after trying a number of different movement classes yet finding herself going back into her old patterns that caused chronic aches and pains. The work has been life-changing both physically and emotionally; she began a four-year training program in 2012, and is now a certified teacher of the Method. Her volunteer work has been focused on healing and she brings her own experiences and commitment to restorative practice to her classes. You can contact Carol directly to learn more about the Feldenkrais Method and her Awareness through Movement® workshops at carolregan53@gmail.com.
