Our Philosophy Based on 17 Years of Weeklong Cancer Retreats
- Tuesday, March 19, 6:30-7:30pm
With Shanti Norris, Smith Center Co-Founder & Executive Director
Smith Center's work is based on the single, profound idea that everyone harbors the innate ability to heal, even in the face of life's most serious challenges, and that ability to heal is enhanced by holistic approaches.
This session with Shanti Norris, Smith Center's Co-Founder and Executive Director, is an opportunity to learn about our core philosophy of deep healing and integrative cancer support. We have been holding Weeklong Cancer Retreats since 1996. They are a place to explore the issues and choices that people with life-threatening illness encounter. The retreats aim to complement mainstream medical care by providing experiential healing options in the context of the highest quality small-group support. Shanti plans and staffs all of the retreats and is steeped in the vision and experience of this transformative program.
Our programs are tailored to the needs of people affected by cancer, but we welcome anyone who would like to attend.
Please RSVP to help us plan!
Scholarships & Giving Back
For those in need — Free programs and Scholarship
We aim to offer free and low-cost programs, affordable to anyone who would like to participate. If you would like to attend a program, but find the cost to be a barrier, fill out a scholarship request form or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Full or partial scholarship assistance is available for most programs.
For those who can give — Donations
As a nonprofit, we rely on your support to keep our programs going. Registration fees cover less than half of what it costs to provide our programs. If you're able to give a little extra (or a lot), it will help ensure that all who are in need of Smith Center's resources will receive them.
It’s easy to add a secure donation during your registration process at the top of the "Checkout" page. We thank you for your support!
