It's easy for caregivers to forget to take care of themselves.We welcome you to join us for a fully experiential workshop in which we will learn self-treatment techniques that are easy and truly effective. 

Our programs are open to the community, and tailored to meet the needs of people affected by cancer. Classes and workshops are free or low cost on a pay-as-you-can basis, ensuring that our programs are accessible to everyone.

 

Dr. Ann UdofliaAbout Dr. Ann Udofia

Dr. Ann Udofia, DPT is the Co-founder of Body Connect Health & Wellness and a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in D.C, VA and MD. Since earning her Doctorate in PT from Arcadia University in Pennsylvania in 2004, she has practiced in a wide variety of clinical settings including serving as the Director of Rehabilitation at Rock Glen Nursing and Rehab in Baltimore, MD and as a PT at the prestigious Kessler Institute. She established her private practice, Body Connect Physical Therapy in Arlington, VA in 2009 and partnered with Marisa Alonso, MSPT in April of 2013 to expand the practice to deliver unparalleled, multi-disciplinary health and wellness services to the Metro D.C area. Ann’s commitment to also empowering her patients and her local community in taking active roles in their own health and wellness has led to partnerships with the George Washington University Dance Community, the Arlington Senior Adult Programs and local Yoga and Fitness studios.

About Marisa Alonso

Marisa is the Co-founder of Body Connect Health & Wellness and a Licensed PT in D.C. and VA. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 2004. She began her career at National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington DC and quickly found her passion in the comprehensive treatment of men and women with pelvic floor dysfunction including chronic pelvic and abdominal pain, incontinence, and pre/post-natal pain. Marisa’s training in Visceral Manipulation, Integral Bodywork and Myofascial Release has proven pivotal in the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, abdominal pain syndromes and structural problems of her patients and clients. She has also found her work to be transformational for her own physical body and general health.
