An Elemental Approach to Diet and Wellbeing
- Saturday, May 16, 2-4pm
With Cathryn Gunnerson
Ayurveda’s healing practices for nutrition and self-care aim to cultivate a life in harmony with Nature and our true self and spirit. In this workshop we will work together to identify our own unique “prakruti” (or “dosha”) and how we can best support and balance its equilibrium.
Based on the essential qualities of the Five Elements, we will begin to discern the diet and self-care practices that best support us through the seasons of the year and the seasons of life. To help digest this knowledge, our class will conclude with a light seasonal snack and herbal tea to nourish our vitality and our senses!
*Please Note: Every individual’s needs are unique. We aim to offer a variety of health-promoting options for each individual to consider, but do not prescribe the specific dietary content of any program for anyone.
Our programs are open to the community, and tailored to meet the needs of people affected by cancer. Classes and workshops are free or low cost on a pay-as-you-can basis, ensuring that our programs are accessible to everyone.
