Young Adult Conference at Life With Cancer

Visit Smith Center's table at The Young Adult Conference at Life With Cancer. This event will serve as the August meet-up for the Young Adult Cancer Survivors of Smith Center. Location: Life With Cancer, Alexandria, VA

Join LWC, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Smith Center for Healing and the Arts, and other organizations that serve the Washington, DC metropolitan area for a Young Adult Survivorship Conference (for persons diagnosed between the ages of 18 and 40). Key speakers will discuss physical and emotional short and long-term issues after a diagnosis of cancer. Evening reception and networking to follow program with time to ask the experts from Life with Cancer, I'm Too Young For This, Dominion Fertility, and others, about disclosure, dating, and survivorship care plans.

For those in need — Free programs and Scholarship Assistance
We aim to offer free and low-cost programs, affordable to anyone who would like to participate. If you would like to attend a program, but find the cost to be a barrier, fill out a scholarship request form or Full or partial scholarship assistance is available for most programs.

For those who can give — Donations
As a nonprofit, we rely on your support to keep our programs going. Registration fees cover less than half of what it costs to provide our programs. If you're able to give a little extra (or a lot), it will help ensure that all who are in need of Smith Center's resources will receive them.
