with Dr. Fred Foote
- Thursday, June 11, 6:30-8:30pm
Dr. Foote, author and retired U.S. Navy physician with 29 years’ service, works to create holistic medicine programs (including arts and writing programs) for our nation’s Wounded Warriors and Veterans. His poetry book, Medic Against Bomb, won the Grayson Books Poetry Prize and was a poetry finalist for the 2014 USA Best Book Awards (see www.medicagainstbomb.com). Join us for a multimedia performance (projected images, poetry, and music) followed by a discussion of how communities can use the arts, and exposure to nature, to re-integrate and heal Wounded Warriors and Veterans. Book signing will follow the program.
Our programs are open to the community, and tailored to meet the needs of people affected by cancer. Classes and workshops are free or low cost on a pay-as-you-can basis, ensuring that our programs are accessible to everyone.
