With Sharon Marroquin
- Saturday, July 26, 11am-1:30pm
Join us for a healing workshop being offered in partnership with We Will Survive Cancer.
How can movement heal? Dance, the language of the body, allows us to go beyond our regular cognitive capacities and find a deep and wordless understanding.
In this workshop, Sharon will lead us through a series of gentle warm-up exercises, followed by a guided movement improvisation. She will also share the process that led to the creation of The Materiality of Impermanence, a dance performance based on her experience with Breast Cancer.
No dance experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothes. We will work with bare feet or socks. Registration is limited, please RSVP to help us plan.
