Embracing the Metal Element
Breathe in... breathe out... pause. During this fall season let us pause. Let us breathe in and be inspired by the beauty of the foliage. Let us treasure what is worthwhile in our lives. Let us breathe out and with that exhale, let go of what is no longer serving us; pain, heartache, illness, or loss.
Qigong is a therapeutic practice to align breath, movement, and awareness to restore balance and health. These movements will help to nourish qi (energy and consciousness) in order to bring our constitutional energy to its fullest potential. Let go of burdens and find contentment.
Tracey Burde holds a master’s degree in acupuncture, certification in Chinese herbs and has trained in Medical Qigong. From 1993 to 2005, she served on the faculty of Tai Sophia Institute as an acupuncture instructor and clinical supervisor. A wife, mother, friend, and spiritual seeker, her core belief is that together we can restore balance and health while reaching our highest potential.
Our programs are tailored to the needs of people affected by cancer, but we welcome anyone who would like to attend.

For those in need — Free programs and Scholarship
We aim to offer free and low-cost programs, affordable to anyone who would like to participate. If you would like to attend a program, but find the cost to be a barrier, fill out a scholarship request form or email email@example.com. Full or partial scholarship assistance is available for most programs.
For those who can give — Donations
As a nonprofit, we rely on your support to keep our programs going. Registration fees cover less than half of what it costs to provide our programs. If you're able to give a little extra (or a lot), it will help ensure that all who are in need of Smith Center's resources will receive them.
