Light Touch for Relaxation

Reiki HandsIn this class you will learn about Reiki, a practice originating in Japan that uses light touch to reduce stress, encourage relaxation and promote well-being. You will be taught a simple sequence of hand positions that you can use on yourself to quiet your body, mind and spirit. Reiki practice is gentle, non-invasive and easy to learn. As a daily self-care practice, Reiki helps you to relieve stress and stay balanced day after day.  

 

Marion Werner has been practicing Reiki and Healing Touch for 15 years.  She is a Reiki Master and a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner (CHTP).  She trained in the Mind-Body Medicine Program at Georgetown University School of Medicine.  She received her B.A. from Harvard University and her M.Ed. from American University.

Marion is committed to offering compassionate, noninvasive, holistic care and education to people facing life’s challenges including anxiety, depression, pain, and illness, particularly cancer.

Marion offers individual sessions at her office in Chevy Chase.  She offers Reiki training, workshops, clinics, and individual sessions at Circle Yoga in Washington, DC  She teaches a 5-week Mind-Body Skills class in the spring and fall for the Cancer Support Program at Suburban Outpatient Medical Center, and is a facilitator in the Mind Body Medicine Program for students at the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
