- Tuesday, August 14, 6:30-8pm

Bring the awareness and elegant alignment of Yoga practice into your daily life.

Posture and daily movement improved through yogaFor most people, daily movements include hours of sitting and standing along with the bending and reaching typical of putting away groceries, gardening, and tidying up. If you experience fatigue, tension, or physical pain, it is possible that your movement habits are not serving you well.

In this class, we will try on different patterns of alignment and organization to feel their effects. You may find that small adjustments to how you sit and stand can leave you physically relaxed, mentally alert, and better able to engage with the world around you. We'll look at the role of the feet, knees, pelvis, spine, and shoulders for easy bending and reaching and for sitting and standing postures that are simultaneously dynamic and restful. We will also look at simple Hatha Yoga postures and mini-sequences that you can slip into your day for breaks that really refresh and restore.
