Stephanie Stern, LCSW-C
Stephanie has extensive experience providing psychosocial support to individuals affected by a cancer diagnosis, including patients, caregivers, and bereaved individuals. She has over 30 years of experience as an oncology social worker and has served as Program Director at Hope Connections for Cancer Support since 2020. In this role, she provides counseling, facilitates a range of support groups, including a young adult group, and oversees the development and implementation of the organization’s comprehensive cancer support program. This program encompasses cancer-specific and general support groups; caregiver and bereavement groups; mind-body classes (including exercise, mindfulness, and meditation); and educational programming. In addition to her work at Hope Connections, Stephanie supervises post-master’s students at Smith College School of Social Work who are enrolled in the Palliative Care and End-of-Life Certificate Program.
