Our Impact
At Smith Center for Healing and the Arts, we believe that healing is always possible even when a cure is not.
DonateWhat our guests say:
“Y’all are such an important asset on the road to self-love, decision-making, and self-care.”
“Thank you, Smith Center. I didn’t realize how much I needed a cancer survivor community until after I had finished treatment.”
“You left me full of wonder and hope.”
Our impact extends far beyond our walls. Through empowering cancer programs, we’ve provided a lifeline to those with illness, offering a pathway to emotional and spiritual healing. We continue to be a leader in integrative patient navigation. As leaders in the arts and healing movement, we have pioneered the integration of creativity into wellness practices, touching lives with the transformative power of art.
We know that the power of art lies in its exceptional capacity to heal. The Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery at Smith Center for Healing and the Arts is a beacon of inspiration. Our Artists in Residence Program means that local artists can work directly with patients, caregivers, and clinicians in outpatient infusion, radiation, and waiting areas.
Recognized as one of the region’s critically important charities, our philosophy of healing as a journey to wholeness, hope, and purpose has inspired many. Smith Center’s work is a living testament to the profound human capacity for resilience, compassion, and transformation, making a tangible difference in the lives of those they serve.
