Every day, people in our community face a cancer diagnosis. Medical care is available to most. But what Smith Center provides – the emotional care, the human connection, the simple relief of not being alone – is so much harder to find.

That is what Smith Center provides. 

For 29 years, we have stood with this community through support groups, healing circles, individual therapy, and creative workshops that bring light into some of the darkest moments of people’s lives. We have never turned anyone away.  

This year, more than 3,000 people in our community will face cancer, frightened, overwhelmed, and increasingly without anywhere to turn. The support systems that once existed are fading. Demand for what the Smith Center provides has never been greater.
