Established in 2015, the George Washington University (GW) Cancer Center is a collaboration between GW, the GW Hospital, and the GW Medical Faculty Associates, uniting all cancer-related activities under one mission: to create a cancer-free world through research, education, and equitable care. Located in Washington, D.C., the Center offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care, cutting-edge treatments, and access to clinical trials. As an academic medical center, it combines patient care with pioneering research across four core programs—cancer biology, health equity, engineering and technology, and immunology—led by nationally recognized experts. The Center also supports robust education and career development initiatives to train future leaders in cancer prevention and treatment, while actively addressing health disparities in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia communities.
