A virtual group workshop exploring the human-animal bond as a source of emotional healing.
For many people navigating cancer, the presence of a beloved pet can offer comfort, connection, and a sense of calm. This interactive workshop invites you to explore how your pet—whether furry, feathery, or scaly—can support your emotional wellbeing during this time.
What to expect: You’ll reflect on your relationship with your animal companion and create a personalized plan to explore pet-inclusive coping strategies as part of your self-care.
Date & Time: Monday, November 3 ⋅ 6:30–8:00pm
This workshop will be hosted virtually via Zoom. Prior registration is required.
What to bring:
- A smartphone or laptop with video/audio capabilities
- Your pet (or a photo of them, if they can’t join live!)
- Something to write with—pen and paper, notes app, or a document on your device
Who should attend: This workshop is designed for adults at any stage of their cancer experience, including diagnosis, treatment, or survivorship, who are interested in exploring the emotional support pets can provide.
Note: This program is not suitable for individuals with aversions to animals, as live pets will be present on screen.
