Dina Michels
Dina Michels is a health care attorney and non-profit leader. She serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Legal Officer of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and its associated foundation, Conquer Cancer.
ASCO’s mission is conquering cancer through research, education, and promotion of the highest quality, equitable patient care. Conquer Cancer is dedicated to accelerating breakthroughs in lifesaving research.
As part of a family sharing a hereditary breast and ovarian cancer risk, Dina proudly works toward ASCO’s vision of a world where cancer is prevented or cured and every patient is healthy. Before joining ASCO in 2006, she was a partner in the international law firm Ropes & Gray. A past Board member of the Council of Medical Specialty Societies, she serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dina holds an A.B. in History & Literature from Harvard University and a J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, as well as a 2023 Cornell University Certificate in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. She and her husband live on Capitol Hill in DC, where they sing with the Capitol Hill Chorale.
