Rebecca Spiro, LGSW

Rebecca grew up in Maryland and studied history at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. She then worked in reentry services, Jewish community life, and as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant at a skilled nursing facility, where she discovered her passion for working with adults and families navigating serious illness. She obtained her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore and upon graduation, completed an interdisciplinary fellowship in palliative care. She now works as a palliative social worker, with particular interests in health equity, ethics, and supporting people through the complexities of serious illness with dignity and autonomy. Rebecca also enjoys playing music, contra dancing, and being in nature.
